French pane windows are beautiful - but they're also a lot of work. Each individual pane has its own edges, corners, and dividers where grime builds up over time. Add storm windows on top of that, and you've got two layers of glass that both need attention inside and out. That's exactly what we were dealing with on this home.

The buildup on these windows wasn't dramatic, but it was doing what dirty glass always does - quietly dulling everything. Less light coming through, hazier views, that general sense that something is just a little off even if you can't put your finger on it. Homes like this one deserve better than that.

We worked through every pane, inside and outside, including the storm windows. With French-style windows, you can't rush it. Each section has to be cleaned individually, and the frames and edges get wiped down too. When it's done right, the glass is clear all the way to the corners - no streaks, no residue left behind near the dividers.

The difference shows up fast. More natural light, sharper views of the yard and trees outside, and that clean, crisp look around the windows that makes the whole house feel fresher. It's one of those things that's easy to overlook until it's done - and then you can't stop noticing how good it looks.
